Graduation Rate of Entering Freshman

  1. Mississippi State University is pleased to provide the following information regarding our institution's graduation/completion rates. This information is provided in compliance with the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. The rates reflect the graduation status of students who enrolled during the 2003-04 school year and for whom 150 percent of the normal time-to completion has elapsed.

While reviewing this information, please bear in mind: (1) The graduation/completion rate is based on six years of attendance that equates to 150 percent of our longest programs; (2) Since we are a four year degree granting institution our primary mission is to award earned degrees not to prepare students to transfer to other institutions, therefore, we have elected not to report our transfer-out rate; (3) The graduation/completion rate does not include students who left the federal government; and (4) Students who died were also excluded. This information will be updated once annually and will be presented on our Web site http://www.registrar.msstate.edu and in the annual Bulletin of Mississippi State University.
