Starkville Campus Commencement Ceremonies

The Mississippi State University Starkville Campus holds commencement ceremonies at the end of the fall and spring semesters (December and May respectively). The University graduates students in August, but no ceremony is held. August graduates are invited to attend the December ceremony.

**NOTE: Students should refer to the Academic Calendar for graduation application deadlines and ceremony dates.

Students who plan to graduate in May, August, or December must apply for graduation by the dates published in the MSU Academic Calendar. If a student fails to graduate in the term for which he/she has applied, he/she must reapply during the term when all requirements for the degree are met. Degree applicants must also pay their MSU account balances in full, prior to the graduation ceremony.

College of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Commencement Ceremonies

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) holds a separate, once-a-year ceremony for all of its Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduates. This years DVM ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Humphrey Coliseum. CVM Undergraduate, Master's, and PhD degree candidates may participate in the main campus commencement ceremony on May 3, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Please contact the Vet School for more information regarding the DVM Ceremony at (662) 325-3432.

Meridian Campus Commencement Ceremonies

The Mississippi State University Meridian Campus (MSU-Meridian) commencement ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 2nd, at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian, MS.

Degree Audit

Degrees are awarded after the appropriate representatives from the colleges and schools have reviewed the student records and notified the Office of the Registrar that students are cleared to graduate.
