Training

CLSS users are given access to a Canvas course for on-demand training following being granted access. It is designed to be a quick and helpful resource that ensures everyone feels comfortable navigating and using the system.

The course includes four short videos that cover:

  • Key terminology and CLSS basics
  • Making edits and updates
  • Cross-listing and a few more advanced features
  • Validating and submitting the schedule

Each video has a short quiz at the end to help reinforce what you’ve learned. An overall score of at least 90% is required across the four quizzes. If you don’t meet that score on your first try, the quizzes can be reopened so you can try again. Our goal is simply to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident using CLSS. Having this training in place allows our office to spend more time focusing on areas such as forecasting and classroom efficiency.
